Exercise #9 (Present), 2018
Plaster, 18 x 18 cm each, 3 pieces.

When I turned 40, I kept all the boxes of the presents I received and made plaster sculptures with them. These sculptures came out of a red box. When I removed the cardboard, I noticed two beautiful pink lines appeared, coming from the humid red cardboard. I continued using the same box for this series, but the box started to wrinkle and became unusable. It is an analogy with the human body, in which there is a constant use of it until it wrinkles, deteriorates and gets to its final version.
