Azotes, 2016
Video-performance, 8:37 min.

This performance was held in Estado de Mexico (Mexico), which is the state where more women disappear and get killed due to feminicides in Mexico. Using ZOTE soap bars, the soap that is used the most in all Mexico, I wrote the letters A and S in each, so it would say AZOTES and constructed a wall with them. Azote in Spanish means to whip or hit repeatedly on the same surface.

This performance is about gender violence, the disappearance problematic and the use of language as the first form of violence.
